2021 was a challenging year for many, at CWB we recognised how lucky we have been to remain happy and healthy during these challenging times. As a team, we decided to assist as best we could, those to whom the pandemic has posed more serious challenges.
We contacted Senses Residential and Day Care Home in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to discuss how best we could provide some relief. Senses is a non-profit organisation and the Middle East’s first residential care facility. The aim of Senses is to improve the quality of life of orphans and abandoned children with special needs from around the GCC.
The Center provides specialised programs that combine Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Functional Therapy, Vocational, Daily Life Skills, Sensory Integration Therapy and Educational Programs for the children between the ages of three to nineteen.
Senses’ residents have specific medial requirements some of whom require around the clock assistance. The Center provides care for children with mild to severe autism, mental disorders, physical disabilities, cerebral palsy and down syndrome to name a few.
CWB, to improve the quality of life of the residents, arranged for delivery of state-of-the-art sporting goods to enhance the children’s’ leisure and play time. CWB employees attended the centre to deliver the sporting goods and spent some time getting to know the children and their situations.
