Qatar Foundation has become a member of Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (GFCC). As its name suggests, the latter body develops and promotes best practices in global competitiveness, whereas Qatar Foundation is one of Qatar’s premier drivers of development in education, R&D and community practices. The partnership between the two organisations will see a strengthening of Qatar’s innovation projects, intellectual property laws and general economic growth. Qatar Science and Technology Park, a division of Qatar Foundation, will spear-head the collaboration (gulf-times.com, 3 September 2014).
