Dubai Customs intellectual property rights seizures for the first half of the year had an estimated street value of US$4.8 million. The seizures were spread across diverse product types including electronics, automotive parts, clothing and accessories. On the frontline of the battle against counterfeit products is Dubai Customs’ “Risk Engine” system which helps inspectors to identify suspected shipments with a high level of accuracy in a time-efficient manner.
