The Ministry of Economy in the UAE issued two notices on procedural practices regarding the issuance of registration certificates. The circular dated 6 November 2014 directs trade mark applicant representatives to review publication pages starting from the UAE official gazette no. 146 dated 3 November 2014 and to attend to any amendments and corrections in the publication of an application (if required) during the opposition period and before attending to the payment of the registration fee. Otherwise, the registration certificate will not be amended after it is issued. In addition to the above, a second circular dated 25 November 2014 states that trade mark office officials in the Abu Dhabi location will not issue nor amend registration certificates issued by the Dubai location.
